Professor Steve Frank from North Carolina State University (NCSU, USA) visits the Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences.

On September 2, 2026, Professor Steve Frank of the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at North Carolina State University (NCSU), USA, paid a courtesy call on Dean Nakazono. Professor Frank serves as Associate Department Head and is currently engaged in collaborative research with Professor Kajimura at the Forest Protection Laboratory of the Graduate School.
Professor Frank and Dean Nakazono exchanged views on the progress of ongoing collaborative research projects with Professor Kajimura and discussed future directions for cooperation. They also discussed ways to further promote academic and student exchange between the two institutions.
During Professor Frank’s visit to the Graduate School, he also delivered a seminar entitled “Ecology and management of tree pests in urban forests and landscape ecosystems”. The seminar was attended by faculty members and students, providing a valuable opportunity for academic exchange. The presentation was followed by an active question-and-answer session, fostering lively discussion among participants. Professor Frank also visited the Inabu and Shitara Fields of the Field Science Center with Professor Kajimura.
